AdvantageLevel was created in response to a number of
companies expressing a desire for more specific management consulting services
that better addressed the unique business issues confronted by large and medium sized service providers such as energy, utility
and telecommunications firms.
These
specific services were being delivered by conventional Big Five consulting
firms but they lacked the insight, history or "scar-tissue" experience to truly
provide solutions that made significant and lasting business improvement and
competitive advantage for these unique industries.
What we've noticed in the past 20 years or more of
experience, is that a lot of extremely well intentioned, projects, optimization
plans, and improvement programs have been initiated within the industries
we support, but few seem to have the long term "stickiness" to sustain ongoing benefits. Many of these initiatives launch well, are generally focused and
controlled to an outcome and in many cases, benefits are achieved as
planned. However, once the parade has left and the project teams return to
their original tasks, a process of erosion begins.
Over time, processes and procedures begin to
deviate, non-compliance begins to frequent, employee churn introduces
inconsistency, performance reports become desk anchors instead of early warning
signs and intra-functional cooperation begins to look like it used to before
the project.
